Before Elements 1.29 shards were unusable cards until they were upgraded. From version 1.29 all of the shards are usable regardless whether they are unupgraded or upgraded.

Now every element has a specific shard, though they belong to others category and cost random quanta.

Shards are rare cards so they are not available in the Bazaar.
