This deck was developed on the forums by ScaredGirl and JMizzle.
It plays as simple as it looks: pop out the Physalia with the Mark of Water, pump out the Poison with Physialia+Deadly Poison, and Freeze anything that becomes a credible threat.
It out-paces nearly every deck in the t50 and PvP, losing consistently to Speed Rainbow and sometimes Mono Fire.
Play Tips Edit
The AI will not cast Rain of Fire, Plague, or other similar mass effect spells when there are two or fewer Physalias on the table. Playing a third against a rainbow deck with lots of fire quanta and cards in hand can usually result in losing all three.
Upgraded Arsenics are more efficient than Deadly Poison and should receive priority unless the opponent is shielded.
Conserving your Congeals can make them more efficient. If the opponent has cast Sundial, then you can afford to wait a few turns before Congealing his creatures. Similarly, Congealing small creatures is often a waste.
Against Darkness decks, Pests/Devourers are priority target for Congealing, as they will often steal your turn's water quantum and leave you unable to cast. Against Rainbow, Otyughs and Firefly Queens are priority targets.
Comment from random noob: Against Fire decks, and many decks with small creatures that you don't want to freeze, replacing an Arsenic with Improved Plague helps, especially after freezing.
Questions as Comments:
- Could Artic Squid replace at least one Congeal?
- Since Physalias attack and can be affected by negative shield effects such as getting delayed, frozen, poisoned, or take damage, is it worth it to upgrade from Chysora for just the extra attacks?
